Trigeminal Neuralgia and Mental Health

Let’s talk about mental health.

When I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia, I sunk into the black hole. I personally think I’d be part of a more worrying statistic if being told that I would probably be in pain for the rest of my life didn’t completely knock me off course for a while.

I openly talked about feeling depressed, I made it clear to my GP and my friends that my mood was very low.

So why is there such a stigma surrounding mental health, including mental health issues stemming from issues with physical health? Let’s talk.
