I’m back with a bang.. & a new diagnosis of ME/CFS!

I’ve taken a break from blogging for a year and a half. I’ve been depressed and tired. It took several little nudges from a friend to remind me that I actually enjoy blogging. This website really has been my therapy for years and I’ve managed to muscle up some energy to get back at it again.

So, this leads me onto the new diagnosis..

ME/CFS, offically called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, is a fluctuating, long-term neurological condition which causes severe fatigue (which is not relieved by rest) sleep problems, pain, and cognitive issues, especially worsened by activity.

I’m not surprised.

I’ve had chronic fatigue for as long as I can remember and I actually feel valididated having an official diagnosis.

I accepted having fatigue as an offshoot of being in pain, but, as it turns out, it is actually taken seriously by Neurology in my area. I was diagnosed at my first appointment in the Long Term Neurology Clinic in October 2025 and I’ve already had a follow up with an ME nurse, and I’ll be seen by an Occupational Therapist for ME in the New Year.

So here’s to 2026 and new blog posts to come!

Thank you all for bearing with me whilst I get this right again.
